Elaine Maichin is a Psychologist from the USA with over 9 years’ experience working in the mental health field. She is a certified and trained Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Therapist, EMDR Practitioner, Couples and Marriage Therapist, Mindfulness Meditation Trainer, Stress Management Consultant, and Goal Achievement Coach.
Elaine is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the NBCC in USA.
Elaine has experience working in individual, group, family, and couples/marriage counseling in clinical, educational, and community settings. She has worked in schools, hospitals, clinics, corporate consulting, prisons, and community centers in the USA.
Elaine has helped develop and implement CBT based programs in the USA and is an instructor/speaker on crisis intervention training and trauma informed care. She is passionate about raising social awareness through speaking and writing.
Elaine is passionate about exploring how culture, intergenerational patterns and the mind-body connection impacts individuals and tailors’ interventions to client specific needs. She believes in empowering others by helping them understand the connection between their emotions, behaviors, traumas, relationships, and inner child and attachments.
Elaine works with both adults and adolescents utilizing a holistic, person-centered approach. In practice, Elaine incorporates the following: CBT, Trauma Informed Care, EMDR, Couples and Marriage Counseling, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction, Family Systems, Attachment theory, and Strength-Based therapy.
