Imane is a trilingual (Arabic, French and English) counselor, with 12 years experience in the field. She has extensive experience working with adults and children. She holds a Masters Degree from Farhat Abass University in Algeria and is currently completing her PhD in Science of Clinical Psychology with El Hadj Lakhder University in Algeria.
Imane is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and has presented various lectures in Algeria as well as the UAE and has coached courses in examination techniques and ACT therapy.
Imane specializes in using acceptance-commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in the treatment of mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias and eating disorders, trauma and PTSD. She has experience with child problems including bedwetting, jealousy, fears, education, ADHD and learning disabilities.
Imane has significant experience in clinical hospital environments in Algeria and mental health clinics in the UAE. She has an empathetic approach to her patients based on confidentiality and trust. Her use of ACT, DBT and EMDR allows her to incorporate a clinical flexibility resulting in her patients being more aware about the present, focusing on their core values and being more successful in their treatment.
