Professional experience
Rania is a bilingual (Arabic and English) psychologist, with 9 years’ experience in the clinical settings. Rania works with adults, adolescence, and children. She holds a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology and is currently completing her PhD at Meridian University – California. Throughout her journey in the clinical field, Rania attended and participated in different local and international conferences. She received the prize for best research in psychology from Ahfad University in 2005.
Rania has been trained in a range of specialist therapeutic models including Low Intensity CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), MBSR (Mindfulness based stress reduction), MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), and a multidisciplinary approach for eating disorders in Children and Young People.
Rania utilizes the biopsychosocial model to treat different kinds of psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD. Rania has also been trained on the use of variety of psychometric tools such as Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule™, Second Edition ADOS -2, Stanford Binet test, 5th Version, Dyslexia adult screening test – DAST, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory - MMPI-2, MMPI-A & MMPI -R.F., The brief Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory- MCMI 111, Behavior assessment system for children, BASC-11, III, The Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS), The Conners 3rd Edition for children - Connor's ADHD test, Vineland Adaptive Skills scale, Wechsler Individual Achievement Test and Wechsler NON- Verbal test.
