We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational Child Psychologist with a proven track record in achieving the very highest standards of quality.

Your essential duties and responsibilities would be to:

  • Provide psychological treatment of children, adolescents, young adults and their families with a wide variety of mental health problems
  • Manage, monitor and review a caseload through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic interventions
  • Conduct both one-to-one and group counselling services to assist patients requiring therapeutic interventions
Additional duties and responsibilities would be to:
  • Ensure the range and level of interventions, treatments and activities complies with the governing regulatory body
  • Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients’ conditions and treatment
  • Organize, provide and evaluate academic, personal, social and emotional counselling
  • Build a good rapport with patients and deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress
  • Use a variety of techniques to assist patients to reach their own resolutions or develop strategies to address and remedy their concern
  • Provide one to one support therapy along with group support therapy
  • Write psychological assessment reports
  • Complete records and all service monitoring requirements on time and to a high standard
  • Maintain a high standard of knowledge in the subject area and continue to update this knowledge by attending CPD courses
  • Work and liaise with the Centre’s multidisciplinary team
  • Attend team meetings, supervision sessions and training as required
  • Refer clients to other healthcare professionals where appropriate
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals as part of a health management team
  • Other duties as may be delegated in line with the service provision

Qualifications:

  • Two years’ counselling experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Counselling or a related profession such as psychology, social work from an accredited institute/college/university
  • A Master’s degree in Psychology
  • Training in specific therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, MBT, ACT; and experience working within these frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience in assessments such as ADOS, 3DI, and children psychological testing
  • A current license/registration to practice as a Psychologist
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Good computer proficiency (eg. MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
